Recycling With You In Mind

High Tech Recycling serves the entire Metro Detroit area, including Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. Our business is recycling electronics, and our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to recycle electronics. So we have three ways for you to do it.

First, if you’re located near us, you can bring your old electronics to us any time during regular business hours and drop them off for no charge. Second, you can call us to schedule a pick-up at your home or business at a time convenient to you. Third, if you will be doing a lot of electronics recycling, such as during a home remodel, or if you or your company recycle electronics on a continuing basis, you can call us to arrange for us to bring one or more collection bins to your site. Then we will be happy to pick up your electronic recyclables on a weekly, monthly, or on-call basis.

Special Attention for Computers

If your electronics recycling includes computers, rest assured that High Tech Recycling knows what we’re doing when it comes to data destruction. Before we recycle any of your computers, we run your hard drives, floppy disks, and data tapes through our professional degaussing machine to permanently erase whatever data you stored on them. When it comes to your hard drives, we accomplish the same purpose by wiping them clean by means of Department Of Defense 5220.22 M-compliant software.

Highly Responsible Recycling Methods

Our highly trained professionals here at High Tech Recycling are dedicated to recycling electronics in the most responsible, earth-friendly way possible. Before we do anything else, we thoroughly inspect your old electronics to determine if they can, in fact, be repaired or refurbished. If they’re truly beyond help, we break them down into their component parts. Why? Because we know that many of the raw materials contained in those parts need not wind up in a landfill, but instead can go back into the manufacturing process and be used to produce new products. That’s responsible recycling.
