Where Can I Take Old Appliances?

Recycling Your Appliances

Your old appliances wear out and have to be replaced. But not only must you go through the hassle of choosing and buying new ones, you also face the problem of what to do with the old ones. You can’t just throw most of them in the trash, and even for those you can, you hate the idea of adding one more item to the country’s overflowing landfills. High Tech Recycling understands your distress and we’re here to help. In fact, when it comes to electronics recycling, you can’t beat High Tech Recycling.

We recycle home appliances of all types, regardless of age or condition, including all brands of television sets such as flatscreen, LCD, LED, and plasma. Not only that, but we also recycle all of your TV “go-withs,” such as the following items:

  • Wires
  • Cables
  • Cable boxes
  • Satellite receiver boxes
  • DVD players
  • Video game consoles
  • Docking stations

Disposal Options

In addition to making it easy for you to upgrade and change out your worn out and dysfunctional TVs and related devices, High Tech Recycling also offers you two disposal options. If you live anywhere close to our Michigan recycling center in Metro Detroit, you can drop off your recyclable appliances and electronics Monday through Friday during normal business hours for no charge. Or if you live anywhere in the counties of Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne, you can call us and arrange for us to pick up your items at your home or apartment at a time convenient for you. You will find our rates extremely affordable.

Our Recycling Commitment

We know that, like us, you want to recycle properly. And when it comes to electronics and appliance recycling, High Tech Recycling takes your desires and our business very seriously. Our goal is to recycle 100% of everything we receive. In other words, we handle everything in a responsible, earth-friendly manner.

When your old appliances and electronics arrive at our facility, we carefully inspect them to determine whether or not we can repair or refurbish them. If we can’t, we then break them down into their component parts for recycling. We know that most of the raw materials from which they are made can still be used even though the devices themselves cannot. We take pride in reintroducing these raw materials back into the manufacturing process so they can live again in new products.

Computer Recycling

Most people don’t think of their computers as appliances per se, but at High Tech Recycling we’re known for our expert computer recycling. In fact, we accept and recycle virtually all types of computers and their peripherals, including the following:

  • PCs
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Servers
  • Monitors
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Modems
  • Cables
  • Wires
  • Switchers
  • Routers
  • Computer parts
  • Battery back-ups
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • Printers
  • Ink cartridges

Our Company’s History

When you need electronics and appliance recycling, you can trust High Tech Recycling to do the job right the first time. We’ve been in business since 2011, and although we started out in a 400-square-foot garage, we are proud to say that we now occupy a 10,000-square-foot building. In 2018 alone, our electronics recycling topped 100 tons.
